The sundial put on a pedestal, allow us to consider the fine details of the dial. Comfortable distance from the dial to the observer's eye is 300 — 400 mm. Therefore, the optimum height of the pedestal is about 1100 mm. In addition, the pedestal can be a peculiar work of art and meet the owner's taste and the style of the garden.
