Description.

The sundial is a present to Prof. Lennart Johansson from the University of Umea (Sweden) from the L lipid Chemistry lab of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences. It is designed for installation in Umeå and decorated with the coat of arms of the city. The sundial measures true solar time in Moscow and Umeå and has two scales. To convert the true solar time in CET the formula of algorithm is etched on the dial.
