Description.

The sundial is a wedding gift for Anna (Moscow resident) and Jonathan who is a resident of Los Angeles. There are three anniversary lines on the dial. One line is for Anna, the other is for Jonathan and the third is the common line for both of them. The small cone gnomon points the days and time of birthdays of newly married and points the day and time of their wedding ceremony. October 22, the shadow of conical gnomon goes along the line of Anna. On this line, there is a point corresponding to the time (hours and minutes) of her birth. June 30, the shadow of the conical gnomon gors along the line of Jonathan. On this line, there is a point corresponding to the time (hours and minutes) of his birth. On the wedding day, the shadow goes along the common lone for Anna and Jonathan. A point on the line points the hour and minutes of the wedding ceremony.

The instrument is set in Los Angeles (CA) and is equipped with two scales for measuring time. The peripheral one registers the time of Pacific Time zone. The inner oval shaped scale registers Moscow time.
