The only copy. Bronze and brass. The instrument diameter 550 mm.
Description.
The sculpture is made of bronze and represents a figure of an old man and a girl supporting a sundial. Sculptors Seriozhin SV and Erdyneev VD. The composition is installed in Schyolkovo city.
The sundial measure local and standard time of Moscow time zone (MSK). The instrument has a table of the equation of time and additional scales for measuring declination, altitude and azimuth of the sun. On the gnomon the list of books on gnomonic is etched for the period of 16-18 centuries.
